My Story

My journey into law began when I participated in mock trial competitions as a college student. The adrenaline rush, the art of persuasion, and the pursuit of truth made me realize my passion for the legal profession. I didn’t know then that my passion would lead me to specialize in family law, a field that resonates deeply with my sense of purpose.

Outside of work, I enjoy lifting weights at the gym. My two Corgis help me stay grounded and appreciate life’s simple pleasures. Also, I embark on a new fishing adventure every year to find peace in uncharted waters. It’s my way of recharging and staying connected to life beyond legal briefs.

Insights & Experiences

During my time at the Drake Legal Clinic, I had the opportunity to provide legal aid to those facing divorce, child custody, and domestic issues. It was there that my commitment to family law solidified. Witnessing my clients’ raw emotions, sleepless nights, and resilience left an indelible mark on my heart.

I strive to make sure that my clients are in a better state when they leave my services than when they first came to me. It’s easy to get lost in the details and lose sight of the bigger picture. However, my priority is to ensure that my clients understand all their options, help them navigate their emotions, and ultimately guide them toward healing. Divorce and custody battles are more than just legal proceedings; they are also deeply personal and emotional experiences. As attorneys, we carry a unique responsibility to care for our clients, knowing that our words and actions impact their lives and futures.

Background & Expertise

After studying Business, Legal Studies, and Philosophy at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa (B.S. 2015), I earned my law degree from Drake Law School (J.D. 2018).

My practice currently focuses on family law litigation, civil litigation and wills & estate matters. While my mind thrives in the courtroom, my heart finds solace in the moments of gratitude and relief that often follow. When a client leaves the courtroom, shoulders a little lighter and eyes filled with hope, I know that my meticulous and zealous representation has made a difference.
